Plum and Banana Bread recipe

Lucianna has kindly shared one of her family favourite recipes: Plum and Banana Bread. Super easy to make, looks delicious and a perfect treat with a cuppa.
This recipe is a family favourite because?
Banana bread is a firm favourite in our household for so many reasons.
It’s a simple and fun bake with children. we usually have everything we need already in the house and it’s incredibly versatile!
Not to mention that its impeccable sweetness is irresistible for both big and little people!
I love the way that the plum tastes in this recipe. When you bite into the loaf, the bits of plum are melt in your mouth delicious!
A few twists to this recipe
As I mentioned, this recipe is so versatile. You could have apple and a pinch of cinnamon instead of plums, or you could even add chocolate chips!
This recipe takes about 15 minutes to prepare and 50-60 minutes in the oven.
100g butter (nice and soft)
175g caster sugar
2 ripe bananas
1 plum, chopped
225g self raising flour
Preheat the oven to 180 degrees and line a loaf tin with greaseproof paper.
Mash the bananas in a bowl with a fork, beat in the eggs, milk, sugar and the softened butter. Then sieve in the flour and mix gently until combined. At this point add the chopped plum and give a final mix before spooning into the loaf tin. Pop it in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes until a skewer/sharp knife comes out clean.
Leave to cool before removing from the tin and enjoy!
