So, I’m already 9 days behind posting this. I did intend to write this post before we went on our hols but failed!
June was a whirlwind month of getting organised for holidays. I can report that sticker books are amazing at keeping toddlers amused on planes and on sun loungers and I did indeed sign up for a 10K!
I didn’t trial any beauty boxes but did try a few new products (my fave being Amaranthine Facial Oil from Amaranthine Skincare. It’s amazing at calming down the redness on my face). Finally, my big win of June was that our 4.5 hour flight with a toddler and 6 year old, whilst not without a few issues did go fairly smoothly!
This month sees the start of the school holidays. In Scotland schools finish up at the end of June and go back middle of August. We’ve had a lovely family holiday away at the Holiday Village in Tenerife so I’m refreshed and ready to to take on a new month!

Trying to survive the school holidays.
Between me, the hubby, my mother in law and my mum we’ve all but covered the school holidays between us. Play-dates, trips out (Jupiter Artland, Newhailes and Blair Drummond Safari park are on the list) along with a few trips to the zoo and mornings at our second home (David Lloyd clubs) are on this summers bucket list! That and making sure I have a permanently full fridge for the constantly hungry 6 year old to avoid those annoying moans on ‘muuuum, I’m hunngry’…
Embracing a ‘Portfolio’ way of working.
I’ve a few new things on the horizon which I am really really excited about so I’ll be trying to get back into my organised way of working and remembering who I am on what day!
Attending the launch event for a fab new baby boutique
I’m super excited to have been invited to the launch of Lotties Baby Boutique. It’s run by the lovely Amber – a lady whose driven, motivated and great to chat to! Her online boutiques stock lots of products made by mums and she’s in the process of starting up meet up events in Edinburgh for mummies/kids. She’s invited lots of people to the event, many who I know virtually so I’m looking forward to meeting them in real life!
Starting training for a 10K
I don’t write this lightly but I have less than 3 months until I run a 10K. I’ve done a 5K before but I need to get myself back in the zone properly and out of the mode of holiday eating/drinking. If I can aim to get to the gym twice a week I’ll be happy but I am contemplating signing up with an online personal trainer as I feel I need that boost. Watch this space….
